theories of Asian architecture
This module exposes us to the history of South, southeast, and east Asian architecture through three different aspects which are sustainability, tradition, and globalization. Understanding Asian architecture and urbanism is the main purpose of this module.
assignment 1
In assignment 1, we are required to choose our preferred historical site and then identify its physical and nonphysical cotext through drawing and sketches in the form of a journal. the sketches will need to present the relationship between architecture and its social, cultural and place context.
I have chosen the wet market located in Petaling Street. this place is full of memories but at the same time, it is slowly forgotten by people.
Through site visit, I sketch down what I have observe in my sketchbook and i have written down my feeling and conclusion about the site.
assignment 2
With the continuation from project 1, using the old site, we need to produce a research and discuss significant issues to generate a report, then using the research report, we then need to make it into an infographic poster and a presentable slide to present our research topic and our proposed solutions.
