BUILDING CONSTRUCTION
Building construction is a module to introduce us to the basic building construction and materials used in small to medium scale buildings, understanding the principle of the building elements which include the substructure, superstructure, and common construction materials.

In assignment 1, we are required to produce 2 A2 presentation board that conduct case studies of building materials used by any architecture that build by our chosen architect. The context should included both architectural and structural materials with an explanation of how all these materials related back to its building design intention.
The chosen building for me is Centre Pompidou that design by Richard Rogers and Renzo Piano. This building attract m very much when I first saw it cause the facade of the building is the system of the building itself. this makes me curious about the intention of designing "things" that other architects wanted to hide. Therefore, I analyse out all the important materials in relation to design.
assignment 2
For assignment 2, we are required to choose a double-storey residential as a group and produce two A2 construction drawing that speaks for the construction details itself. Besides drawings, we need to produce a to-scale model to indicate the building method and materials.
