Sustainable Design, Policies and Regulations
This module introduces students to environmental issues and provides some in-depth understanding of the complexities and influences that built environment causes to the natural environment. The module intent s to instill environmental literacy and understandings of policies related to sustainable design and practices.
assignment 1
The aim of this first assignment is to develop environmental consciousness and to provide an understanding of building and environmental standards, rules, guidelines, and regulations. You will also start to comprehend and comprehend its influence and repercussions. As a result, in this project, we, in a group of 5 will examine the research articles and use a LIVING (interactive) poster to present the essential elements from the articles.
assignment 2
In assignment 2, we are required to choose one local building with chosen one SDG then linking to identify the indicators. The project aims to create awareness of the 17SDG goals and specifically the goals that are associated with Built Environment/Architecture (BE/Arch) and to explore and understand how the BE/Arch is responding to particular Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
